Shapes and Figures at David's Collection October 2024

Workshops for both children and adults are held by and at Davids Samling. From Davids Samling's website:

“COME TO A WORKSHOP DURING THE AUTUMN BREAK AT DAVIDS SAMLING: Discovery in shapes, colors and figures. Make your own miniature picture in collage

Explore shapes, colors and figures at the David Collection. In the children's workshop, you will create your very own miniature picture guided by Anna Amiri Melchior. In a small group, you will be taken around the museum and introduced to shapes, colors and figures in the collection, which can be used as inspiration when you work with the miniature yourself in our workshop. We will also look at the creations of the design students from the Royal Academy, which can only be experienced during the autumn holidays. We will work with collage and drawing.

Anna Amiri Melchior is an anthropologist from Copenhagen University and has studied art at the London University of the Arts. She currently works as an educator and teacher at the Bernadotte School with a consistent focus on creativity, making art in knitwear @annamelchiorstudio. Anna has previously held art workshops for children and adults, and this is her first time at Davids Samling.

Sunday 13/10 from 1 - 3 pm the workshop for adults will be held.
